CAPE ROYALE

modern european concept

Experience the serenity of a seaside property from the comforts of a well-designed home.

The Cape Royale project is inspired by the brilliant blue and dreamy whites of the foamy Sentosa sea. Interior designers Hilda Lee and Verlynn Neo worked with homeowners to develop a modern European concept for the penthouse suite. Since the picturesque seaview forms the focal point of the home, the man made structures merely serve to frame the elements. This idea hails from the from the clean simplicity of terraced homes of Santorini, where the building takes a backseat to marvel at nature.

However, it does not forget the lifestyle needs of the homeowners. Here’s where the home deviates by blending in modern features to add form and space. Clean solid lines in the wall beading and cornice contrast the whimsical ebb and flow of the waves. Structural details in the home office and living room lend to the home’s modern feel. The interior designers worked with Ximula’s furniture system to produce a clear cabinet display with bold black aluminium frames. Paired with European design sensibilities, the prominent cabinets are an excellent way to display the homeowner’s prized possessions.
