TANGLIN VIEW

contemporary condo design

Experience simplicity in interior designer Joe Yap’s contemporary condo design.

Although owners of the property didn’t have a theme in mind to redecorate their condominium, they knew it had to be practical for everyday life. Ideally, the house should be kid-friendly but not juvenile looking. Instead, the space should be a sophisticated blank canvas which would transform over the years.

For example, the living room is merged with the dining room for an expansive condo open concept. Lined up in one continuous flow, this imbues grandeur when entertaining guests. Additionally, the clean neutral palette consisting of earth tones makes the home appear tastefully luxurious.

SOPHISTICATED

LIVELY

Unlike the shared spaces in the contemporary condo, the bedrooms were covered with ash wood grain vinyl pieces. The contrast against the glossy brown marble tiles signals a change in atmosphere from opulence to comfort.

COLOURFUL

Duo and trio toned vinyl panels for the bedroom cabinet make the room appear youthfully vibrant. Similarly elsewhere in the contemporary condo,  custom carpentry ensures the space is efficiently maximimsed.

CONTEMPORARY

Given the homeowner’s busy lifestyle, the kitchen is designed to be fuss-free. For instance, the kitchen sink reveals grooves to discourage water pooling on the countertop. Thus, washing the countertop becomes easier as dirt and soap flow directly into the sink and down the drain.

Next, in the common toilet, the simple monochromatic colours are simple on the eye. The harmonious with earth toned chevron tiles lend to the Tanglin View contemporary condo 3 bedder aesthetic. Simple in design, the step in shower is concealed with an L-shape glass shower screen. Furthermore, the custom made vanity sink and mirror make getting ready in the morning easy.
