The Dunbar Walk landed property interior design is a testament to creativity. In a span of 2 years, the semi-d in Singapore was rebuilt in collaboration with Lua Architects Associates and main contractor, Springview Enterprises Pte. Ltd. Juz Interior offered design consultancy, carpentry and soft furnishing services to bring the dark modern luxury interior design vision to life. These works were completed with a budget of $275,000.
LIVING ROOM INTERIOR DESIGN
The interior design idea takes inspiration from the internationally renowned modern luxury Italian furniture retailer, Minotti. Known for their bold, contemporary designs which takes pride in traditional artisanal quality, the Dunbar Walk renovation project emulates these values.
ELEGANT DECOR
Homeowners of the Dunbar Walk property wanted the interior architecture to represent immaculately refined taste. Every element of the landed property post-renovation unabashedly showcases almost garish opulence. Every detail pored over. Even the burst of natural light flooding the house – carefully engineered. Ultimately, everything must have its place and purpose in creating a grand home like this one.

Firstly, the rich interior design goes all out to incorporate textures with the finest of materials. Slabs of exquisite granite, black marble and sultry dark toned wood laminates are artfully weaved together to form the motif. Take for example, the landed house kitchen design and living room. The matching speckled granite kitchen countertop and backsplash exude the Italian brand’s distinct blend of moody and sombre hues. Furthermore, the pairing with fluted panelling and warm laminates for the custom made display cabinets and bar counter, the interior architecture is undeniably confident in its bold design choices.
In addition to aesthetic, the modern luxury interior design is also practical. For example, the custom carpentry design by Juz Interior makes room for the homeowner’s love for fine wines and extensive glassware collection.

Secondly, the geometric architectural features is a sort of homage to the Minotti brand. Typical modernist structures emphasise bold, harsh lines. However, the inclusion of curves softens an otherwise serious-looking space. Take for instance, the curved outlines of the void. Outlined by a similarly sinuous feature wall, the architectural feature extends from the ground floor to the attic. A peek from the third floor of the semi-d is stunning.

The second kitchen at mid level of the home takes on an organic look and feel. Unlike the kitchen and dining on the first floor, wood is the star material in creating the kitchen design. Warm toned wood in the ceiling cladding mirrors the fluted panelling for the kitchen island bar counter. Similarly, wood effect tiles for the flooring chimes in to effect a homely aesthetic.
