The Margaret Drive 3 room HDB BTO first family home renovation and interior design was a success. Although the young couple had a modest budget, they weren’t going to give up on their dream home. After rounds of meeting different interior designers in Singapore, they finally stumbled upon Juz Interior. Charmed by the good review and strong interior design sensibilities of Summer Lim, they entrusted their first ever renovation to us.
MAKING SPACE
The second challenge: working with small spaces. Given the narrow kitchen space, the HDB kitchen cabinet is designed against one length of the wall with top cabinets and bottom shelving. Additionally, a white marble backsplash gives the home a modern, sophisticated look.
STYLISH
The first challenge: the lack of a distinct, preferred interior design style. Instead, the homeowners had broad stroke ideas about what they would like. Something classic, fun and modern. After all, they had decided that the HDB would be their first home, and not their forever home.
HDB BTO bathroom renovation and interior design
Fun pops of colour and a range of personalities come through in the tiling design of the bathrooms.
For example, in the common bathroom, a choice of pink terrazzo tiles impress a feminine vibe. Whereas the more serious looking black marble tile design in the master bedroom, imbue a stern sophistication.
