Interior design for a modern condo begins by stripping away anything with a warm tone. In its place, are a generous use of glossy white and beige marble tiles. To break monotony, a tinge of black accents the home. You’ll see this in the metal divider, hanging light, glass frame, and on the carpentry trimmings and inlay.
Our interior designer transformed this 4 bedder condo with a $99K budget. The homeowners requested for a timeless modern contemporary home.
This beautiful, classical arched shaped display cabinet transforms the once brooding walkway. What was once a mindless wander between the common area and the private quarters, is now a delightful experience through a narrow space. There are two things which make this custom display cabinet stand out. First, interior cabinet lighting brightens the space and helps the dark blue laminate stand out. Secondly, the random spacing between the shelves add an unexpected spunk.
Another highlight in this modern condo is the luxurious master bedroom toilet. Clad from ceiling to floor in marble tiles, this condo toilet design is nothing but a show stopper. The rose gold sanitaries elevate the space, while the black trimming along the shower door keeps true to modern design principles.
The second toilet however, is an antipode of the icy cool master toilet. It inverts the first toilet’s design scheme, Black is the base colour and the accents are white. LED lighting keeps the overall look cool and modern. Instead of a glossy finish, the tiles selected are matte and patterned.
Black trimming along the cabinet doors and glass door frames stay true to the overall colours.
Sectioning off the kitchen from the entry way is a full height divider. The divider has marble panels and rectangular spaces in between to provide a little privacy. The bar counter behind the divider is also a perfect breakfast nook and workstation.
Finally, the kitchen is divided into dry and wet. This follows the original layout of the building. The dark laminated kitchen cabinet doors recede, allowing the marble to revel in all its glory. In the wet kitchen area, a black metal hanging rack was chosen over fully covered cabinet to avoid visually crowding the already narrow space.
