Whether coming or going home, everyone wants a sense of peace in their space. In this commercial interior design project for Ang Yew Seng funerals, our client requested for a transformation that would stand the test of time. Hence, the new space would be a comfortable and peaceful private space. Moreover, it should offer a conducive environment to provide the deceased a dignified send off.
To meet the demands of both the client and their clients, Interior designer Zachary Ang selected a modern luxury theme. A closer look at the pictures reveal how the interior is a meditative space for the transcedental.
From the walls, the same warm wood tones extend seamlessly across the ceiling. Moreover, the added detail from the undulating fluted panel create a sense of being cocooned. Surely, a comforting feeling in a time of grief.
Zachary creates a space that’s emblamatic of passing through from one state to another; an important metaphor for the client. The half height marble wainscotting is interrupted by the contiguous deep soothing wood panelling tones.
The toilets were renovated to include shower facilities as an added convenience. In this space, the focus was to provide the necessary ammenities in a clean, comfortable environment.
Materials chosen for the project had to be durable to withstand heavy wear and tear. Furthermore, high quality materials were necessary to avoid damage from potential termite infestation.
Finally, to suit the myraid needs interior designer Zachary Ang suggested high-tech fittings to add to the calm ambience. Thus, an interactive LED backdrop was installed in each parlour. Tapping on cloud-based technology, the backdrop can be changed to accomodate any and all funeral rites needs.
Ang Yew Seng allocated a budget of $300K to complete the commercial interior design renovations.
