Modern design style is possibly the best design style to choose from if you are renovating your first home. It is classy and timeless, a design that can last for decades without going out of style.
After understanding the homeowners’ needs, interior designer Alleyna helped them create their dream home. In this condominium apartment, the spacious living room comes with features which make the space feel big and open. The kitchen island doubles up as a dining area too.
A short duration of 2 months was needed for this project. The total cost for the home renovation is $57,700.
Instead of typical feature walls, textured wall paint with gold lines was chosen. To tie everything together, the island table wall was finished with the same textured paint element. Lastly, the same shade of green was intentionally chosen for the sofa to complete the whole look of the settee area.

Statement lighting can be a great way to draw attention. The tear-drop shaped lighting forms the centre-piece above the dining table and brightens the whole area. It can serve as a great conversational piece too! Meanwhile, natural lighting from the living room windows makes the home to feel spacious and open.

In the kitchen, dark wooden cabinets contrast spectacularly well against the white backdrop. Fish-scale tiles line the kitchen backsplash, introducing texture and colour.
Finally, the modern bathroom – monochrome colour palette, wide mirrors and convenient shelves.
